Cost Saving Total Technology Package
Enhancing the performance and service lives of your rollers is as much about controlling the way in which the weld metal is deposited as it is about the chemistry of the weld metal. For this reason Corewire have, under the Weldclad brand name, developed, designed and fabricated highly flexible welding systems.
Custom Designed Welding Systems
This welding system can be designed to weld the vast majority of the roll types used in the hot processing end of steelmaking.
For example, we have installed machines that can weld anything from 0150mm x 600mm foot roll from the top of a continuous slab caster, right through to 0450mm x 4000mm table rolls from a hot strip mill, or a 5 tonne 01000mm pinch roll also from a hot strip mill.
Machine Fundamentals:
The Weldclad welding systems are designed primarily to operate using he submerged arc welding (SAW), although if you have particular requirements, the machine can be designed for open arc welding also.
However, for roll cladding we believe that submerged arc welding gives the best results and represents the least risk to you.
Welding Systems Designed in Partnership with Customers
Naturally, we take the greatest care to ensure that each system we quote for has been designed to satisfy an individual customer?s requirements as completely as possible.
We are very happy to discuss any variations to these systems so as to suit the customer's technical, financial and operational needs. Indeed, it is our policy to keep our customers actively involved in new developments at Weldclad and the steel industry in general.
Such a close working relationship is our normal business practice and, we prefer
to avoid the rather more formal and remote "buyer - seller" relationship.
