The Weldclad welding systems have specifically designed for cladding and repairing steel plant roller and roll journals.
Our long and direct relationship with the steel industry means that we have a good understand of the end-users requirements and the environments in which they operate. Consultation with the users during the enquiry and quotation stages enables us to accurately identify your immediate requirements. Further, the modular design of the machines means that their capability can be modified or expanded if necessary.
Our preferred working practice is to establish a long term and open relationship with our customers. We will give you all the information you need to operate our Weldclad welding systems to best effect, and we are also happy to advise on setting up new facilities, welding different roll types, advising on changing trends in the steel industry and any other issues that we feel would be relevant to your business. We supply to all areas of the industry, indeed we have installed welding systems in steel plant’s Central Engineering Workshops, and in third party welding contractors machine shops a like.
To ensure that our recommendation meets your requirements as fully as possible we will need some information about your operation So, to determine the required capacity of the machine we would need to know the following:-
The answers to these questions will enable us to specify the number of machines or the number of welding-heads to you will need. The configuration of the machine can then be decided. For example, a single welding-head and single rotator set could be used for low volume production of full body and split caster rolls. Whilst a twin welding-head and single rotator set system would reduce the operating time for welding full body rolls. The most common, and ultimately, the most flexible design is the twin welding-head and twin rotator set machine. In this configuration the twin welding-head and rotator units can be used to weld two rolls simultaneously, or can both be used to weld on a single large roll, such as a hot strip mill table roll.
