| | The campaign life of the Primary Mill breakdown rolls was significantly improved by using Weldclad 17.
The wear rate of the Weldclad 17 was significantly less than that of the alloy cast steel rolls. Additionally, the Weldclad 17 required only a 10mm dressing to establish a fresh working surface, whereas 20mm was required on the alloy cast rolls.
