Chrome carbide (CC) deposits are used where abrasion is the primary wear factor. Deposit thickness is usually limited to 2 or 3 layers.
All the CC wires are open arc and self-shielded, making them equally suitable for remote, on-site work as well as for use in a workshop. When the surface finish is important CC wires can be used in a submerged arc configuration in conjunction with WeldcladTM Universal Flux.

CC31 is suitable for wear plate production, hoppers, shovels, dragline buckets, dredge pump castings and crusher rolls.
